Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Bufferly (“we”, “us”) operates Bufferly at https://social.thedigielevate.com, a tool to plan, schedule and publish social media posts. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact: the email address shown in your account settings.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, timezone and a securely hashed password. Team workspaces also store members and their roles.
- Content you create: captions, images, videos, drafts, schedules and ideas you add to Bufferly.
- Connected social accounts: when you connect Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, X, TikTok or Pinterest, we receive the account or page name, username, profile ID and the access token you authorise. Tokens are stored encrypted.
- Publishing results: the ID of each published post and any error message returned by the network, plus engagement statistics where a network provides them.
- Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: show your channels, store your posts, and publish them to the accounts you choose at the time you choose.
- To sign you in, keep your account secure, and let workspace members collaborate according to their roles.
- To show you analytics about your own posts, and to provide support when you ask for it.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of you or your audience.
3. Data from social platforms
Data we receive through the APIs of Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), Google, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Pinterest is used only to provide the features you request: connecting your accounts and publishing the content you schedule. It is never sold, shared with third parties for their own purposes, or used for advertising, and we follow each platform's developer terms and policies.
Bufferly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. AI assistants
If you connect an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to Bufferly, it can read and change your Bufferly data only after you sign in and approve it, and only with your role's permissions. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings → Connect Claude.
5. Who we share data with
- The social networks you choose: your posts and media are sent to them when they are published.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the service's data on our behalf.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
6. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and social access tokens and app secrets are encrypted in our database. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised staff.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. Disconnecting a channel deletes its access token immediately. When you delete your account, your account, channels, tokens, posts and ideas are deleted, and backups roll over within 30 days. See Data deletion.
8. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your data in the app, disconnect any channel, revoke a platform's access from that platform's settings, and delete your account. You may also ask us for a copy of your data, or for correction or deletion, by emailing the email address shown in your account settings. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Bufferly is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email or in the app.
